Book of the week....

The book of the week from my chair is Divergence. It is a great adolescent novel so similar to many of the moving books currently popular like Hunger Games.

The Fault in our Stars

My favorite quote of the book is "Some tourists think Amsterdam is a city of Sin ,but in truth it is a city of freedom. And in freedom, most people find sin." Even though death surrounds the characters the see the humor which makes life worth living. The Fault in Our Stars is a moving account of teenagers in love with an innocence of a kitten and the deepness of a lifetime.

Books as my life line

For most of my life and all of my adult life, books have officially been my friends. As of the beginning of October of this year! Books have become strangers. I have not been able to read in over a month. This is an odd situation for me. I guess I will adjust.

Revolutionch

Revolution was a wonderful mix of two worlds, the present and the French Revolution. I learned a lot about the revolution that I had no idea about.

food

I planted my first tomatoes of the season yesterday. This past weekend the girls and I worked our first festival selling our crafts. I bought three prime specimens for my garden while I was there. Luckily Taylor sold enough on Sunday to support my habit. Sunday was a very slow day with little sales.

I put my lovely plants in the ground yesterday and then it rained last night. Soaking the soil to start the growth.

man in the woods

Anger merges forth when a wonderful man looses it. The book is a timeless tale of love, anger, family, dog, and murder. Strange combination!
